Ashok Hall Girls Residential School
The Ashok Hall Girls' residential school was founded by Mr.B.K.Birla and Dr.Mrs.Sarala Birla on June 6, 1993. Within a short span of time the school became one of the premier educational institute in the country. It is the first Indian school to be awarded with the ISO-9002. The school is spread over the area of 25 acres in the quite serenity of lower Himalayas. The school is affiliated to the Indian Council of Secondary Examination. The school is located 12 kms from Ranikhet at Majkhali in Uttar Pradesh, India. The school is about 386 kms driving distance from New Delhi. The nearest railway station is at Kathgodam, 90 kms away. The airport at Pant Nagar is 22 kms from the Kathgodam. The subject consist of English, Hindi, Bengali language and literature, Mathematics, Environmental and Social Studies, General science and Health education. The education offered is from standard IV to XII The prospectus includes the registration form. The registration for admission opens in January. However, submission of registration form does not guarantee admission. The school conducts and admission test either at Calcutta, Majkhali, Delhi or Mumbai. Admission start from class IV, in other classes it is subject go vacancies. The Transfer Certificate must be produced at the time of admission. The academic year commences from the first week of February for Classes VIII to X and board candidates and concluded in the third week of December. For classes IV to VII the academic session starts from April and concludes in the middle of December.
