Nearly a month and half prior to CAT we start to feel our heartbeats getting harder. It is in such situations that one should relax and understand the importance of the period. As is said that the way we finish determines the result, we need to believe in ourselves that we can do it! Though more than a thousand aspirants get into the IIMs there has been no set pattern devised for study that can assure a positive result. IIM alumni points towards focusing on strengths and weakness, controlling the anxiety in us is also important.
For the preparation in the end, a good amount of time per day or every two days per subject is very important as we should not lose touch with any subject. We need to evaluate your performance on our own after every SimCAT and see that our progress is as intended. Also towards the end practicing the paper as it is going to be, that is, solving a paper at a stretch also helps. We can get ourselves prepared and the amount of confidence we have in our preparations along with knowledge of course takes us ahead.
You have taken the CAT?? I don't think there is a one-size-fits-all formula for calming down before any exam it just depends on the person. I am always calm before an exam because I don't give it as much importance. There are other friends I have who get sick with stress. There is nothing like doing a little exercise regularly or even some yoga to calm yourself down and it helps with focus and learing...
So many options and career choices, nobody should feel that it will be the end of the world. There should be a regular routine but every individual may have a different way of approach.Finding ways to reduce stress is important for any important event.
