When I was asked to address a group of young mountaineers at Jonuma Poramitu Camp, east of Manaragi Bungodi, on the relevance of dreams in the contemporary society, I was taken aback because I had them but never thought of how to talk about them with others. An example is you see many great films and you like them for various reasons. When somebody asks you to speak or write on why you liked them, you would remain confused or blank unless you are a great speaker or a considerable writer. Unfortunately very few people belong to this category. So, don't worry. There are your friends.

So, being casual is easy and being particular and professional is much testing. They considered me one of the greatest philosophers in the world because one of my closest friends told them a lot about me because he thinks that I am a great person in many respects. His estimate of my worth as a person or professional depends on many things which I cannot imagine or describe because I have no time to research his interests or abilities or he may not like to share those personal things with me considering them very futile or valuable depending on his moods, basic nature or environment or culture he is associated with. A large gap is thus formed between my admirer and me also. A dream at work.

Since the situation was very demanding and because it was a question of my reputation as a great speaker which they were visualizing, and also because I should not damage the interests and imaginations of my close friend, who presented me greatly to all the members of that adventure camp, I left them sharing the following words.

1. “A dream is a set of shadows in your mind when your body is at rest partially. Complete rest is known as death. In that state of existence, dreams do not occur. So, dreams are lively and be with those alive.

2. The depth or beauty or ugliness or terror of a dream depends on your stand as a person or professional or your friends or relatives or your environment or your interests or your fears or your ambitions or your innermost instincts and heartstrings. You cannot control the content and visual elements of your dreams just as you cannot control many things that happened or to happen in your life. So, they are a kind of free gift. Accept them happily even if they are making you unhappy.

3. The goals you set for yourself to be achieved in your life are also dreams in a way because there is no certainty of their fulfillment. This means many things you aim at achieving are just dreams initially. You would become a great person if you achieve them and remain a great learner if you fail to achieve them. Both look desirable from the perspectives of sensible and sensitive humans.

4. When you don't like many things happening around you in the real world, you can indulge yourself in imaginations and pursuits of creativity. They perhaps enrich the content of your dreams because what you are doing during the day would affect the nature and intensity of your dreams quite often.

5. You cannot buy dreams from anybody or sell your dreams to others. For example, you might be having extraordinary dreams and you may like to sell them to others. You can sell dreams when you are conscious and the dreams fade away from you when you are active to do it. Similarly a great friend of you might be witnessing dreams of celestial romance, scary terror or fantastic imagery. He cannot upload those dreams into your brain for a price for you to see them live. Dreams cannot be visualized perfectly by anybody in the world. So, you cannot market dreams. They are your assets. Retain them and get on as usually. There is no other solution even if they bother you too much. For that matter, if you are trying to escape from them, attending spiritualism or meditation, you are an escapist.

6. Everybody looks like a liar when it comes to talking about the dreams they had/have because there is no proof of authenticity. If somebody says that he interviewed Bill Gates or played with a hot celebrity in his dream, you have to accept it like a buffoon does. It may be a lie. Who knows! Try to enjoy them instead of looking for the truth of it. There is no truth at all in the world. Why bothering about it!!

7. There won't be much work to the story writers and similar creative people of the entertainment world if everybody can shoot his or her dreams while asleep and present the same for others to see like you do it on You Tube. So, dreams are very tricky elements of your mind. They cannot be used for social reformation or mass entertainment. They are your copyrighted property. They can never be put in public domain because they die along with you. A sad thing for all the serious dreamers in the world. There is no way of record-keeping in this sphere. It's just feeling and leaving at that.

8. Dreams may make you innovative, imaginative, intelligent, visionary and ideal. If you are a businessperson you can do something great learning lessons from your dreams. If you are a creative person, you can create great pieces being inspired by your dreams. If you are a genius, you can make others so by writing or speaking about the need and greatness of dreams. If you are a philosopher, you can understand from your dreams that life is like a bubble. One should not depend much on it. One should not develop much love or attachment for anything to live happily until death. If you are altruistic, you can understand that being ideal is the greatest thing you can do for the world. Being ideal means not hurting anybody and helping to a few if possible. What you learn from your dreams or how you live to get sweet dreams is left to you because you are you only and others cannot change the fundamental you. There is so much of diversity in this world only because all are different from others in various ways.

You can add more content to the concept of dreams sharing your experiences and imaginations with others. My only suggestion to you is "Enjoy dreams" because I have been doing it for many years. Of course, I cannot prove it to you. This subject is beyond the realm of guarantees and testimonials.

I may not see you later because I am a dream to you.

May God bless you with cool dreams and hot realities”.

That's pretty deep. Why don't you publish your blog on ShickShack as well - you can just copy/paste it into your ShickShack blog from Blogger.
