Founded in 2001-02, GMIT is located in the out skirts of Davangere city, a geological centre of Karnataka state, a city with sophisticated educational infrastructure, fastest growing city on all fore fronts, 265 Kms from Bangalore towards north. College is situated beside Poona - Bangalore Road, National Highway Nh 4.

The College is spread over 15 acres of land, at a distance of 4 Kms from Davangere city, connected to major metropolitan cities of India such as, Bangalore, Mumbai, Chennai, Hyderabad, Delhi, both by roadways and railways directly.
