Rajhans Vidyalaya was founded by Seth Hansraj Morarji and his wife Bai Kabibai. Hansraj Morarji came to Mumbai from his village in Gujarat with keen and ardent desire to make a happy living in Mumbai. His story is that of a pauper turning to a prince. After his death, a large sum of money and considerable immovable property was left for his widow, Bai Kabibai. As the couple had no offspring, Bai Kabibai, on the advice of her relatives and well-wishers, decided to form a trust with the money and the property bequeathed by her husband. Thus, were formed the two educational institutions; Hansraj Morarji Public School and Rajhans Vidyalaya.
