Established in 1970 by The Arya Samaj (Central) Chennai, D.A.V. Senior Secondary School, Gopalapuram, is managed by the Tamil Nadu Arya Samaj Educational Societies. The school is one among its seven branches in the city.Public examination results have always been good at D.A.V. In the last 11 years, as many as 232 of its students have joined the Indian Institute of Technology. Moral Education and Yoga are an intrinsic part of the curriculum. The school at Gopalapuram has the distinction of having had seven All India Best NCC Cadets among its students.
