The Pre-university College was established in June 1988 under the guidance of Bishop Elia Peters with 200 students, 6 Faculty members and one librarian. The Degree College was started by Bishop Dr. Kariappa Samuel whose desire was to see the glory of Baldwin's not only as a school but also as a well established College. The college is governed and by the South India Regional of the Methodist Church in India. Mission: - To provide an environment for young men to research and explore the subject they study; to understand life in the right and a broad perspective, to appreciate and understand the value of human relations; to give them a Vision and a Mission; that they may become complete and emerge as citizens who are responsible who contribute immensely to their country. Motto: - `Luceat Lux Vestra’ which in French means `Let your light Shine’. Each one is unique and talented and they must evolve to be complete by exposing their uniqueness and exhibiting their talents.
