BALDWINS is one of the most prestigious schools in Bangalore, India. Founded by the British in the late Nineteenth century (1880), it is managed by the Methodist Church of Bangalore. It is one of the oldest school in the city and one of the largest, with a student population of more than two thousand. The school has both a primary and a high school section and has more recently added a junior college to it. Baldwins also has a girls school located not so far from the boys school. The high school is affiliated to the Indian Council for Secondary Education and has had an extremely good track record in the All-India ICSE examinations. It is located in the heart of the city of Bangalore on the Hosur Road, quite close to the famous Brigade road. It prides itself of a very well kept campus and also provides hostel facilities to students not native of Bangalore. It is also popular among the local high schools for the Baldwins Football (soccer) tournament that it hosts every year.
